In Death Lamented
Memorial jewelry consisting of rings, brooches, pendants, and other jewels, some of which even contained hair, was worn to commemorate the death of a loved one. This Massachusetts Historical Society exhibition and website shows many interesting examples of the ways in which our ancestors mourned.
