On 27 Sept 1812, Daniel Casteel (wife Rhoda Hensley) purchased 138 acres of land in Knox County, Tennessee, in the District South of French Broad & Holston on Stock Creek, bordering the land Francis Casteel.

500 years ago this month, a strange mania seized the city of Strasbourg. Citizens by the hundreds became compelled to dance, seemingly for no reason — jigging trance-like for days, until unconsciousness or, in some cases, death.

Mari married Fulop Bittman 14 Sept 1895 in Newark, New Jersey.

Philip and Mary Bittman had four children:

Mary, Gertrude, Andrew, & Elizabeth 

Philip died in 1904 and Mary is seen listed as Widow and Head of Household in the 1905 New Jersey state census with their children including two from Philip's first marriage.

Mary Bauman Bittman died 4 Feb 1939 in Irvington, Essex, New Jersey.

appointing guardianship of Francis Casteel and David Casteel, heirs of Isaac Casteel, to Aaron Allard (principle) & John Miller. Isaac Casteel was the son of  Francis Casteel, who names Isaac as the father of his two grandsons, Francis & David, in his 1833 will.
