What an interesting picture - there's so much to see and having the colored version brings it to life. Last night I was watching old film footage on Youtube of NYC & London from the early 1900s. It was fascinating! I really like this photochrome picture - thanks for sharing.

New York City is exciting any time, but 1900 had to be an interesting time with so many immigrants coming here. The shops and markets and different languages -- that's America! This picture captures all that and more.

Being a foreigner I have always associated NY with skyscrapers. Seeing this picture I would never have guessed this is NYC. Nevertheless it is a very beautiful picture showing incredible detail. Thanks for sharing it!
