I had saved this obituary thinking it was our John N. Bacon, but it was a different John N.
The obituary is interesting though, so I kept it. Perhaps in the future I will find that this John connects with our Bacon family. In the mean time, I will share this in the chance that another Bacon researcher will claim him.

This John N. Bacon (also sometimes noted with the name Jonathan) was the son of Thomas Sr. and Sarah A. "Sally" (Barron) Bacon. He married Elleanor Delinah "Ellen" "Lina" Douglas on 26 Oct 1851 in Washington Co., TN and they had one son, Jacob Albert T. Bacon, who married Lida A. (nee unknown).

Jonathan Bacon, father of our townsman, J.A.T. Bacon, dropped dead suddenly last Wednesday evening. He died of heart failure and his remains were interred in the new cemetery at this place.
